Decorative Art of Gilding

Decorative art of gilding, the application of metal leaf such as faux gold/silver to solid surfaces.  This workshop is centered around creating your own personalised keepsake box, gilded by you and your own hand painted or stenciled decoration in acrylics, depending on your preference.  You will go home with your unique work of art, perfect as a keepsake of gift. This course is suitable for beginners or for those who would like to refresh or develop existing skills.   For those who enjoy this technique, there will be the opportunity to attend another workshop in the near future. The feedback from previous participants at my workshops are not only that they are delighted with their art but also found the whole experience therapeutic and uplifting.

Introduction to Soft Chalk Pastels - Landscape Painting

The art of using soft chalk pastels  - including an introduction to techniques and materials.  Pastel paintings are liberating and expressive.  Your project at the workshop will be landscape based and I will be at hand to help you experiment and develop your skills and you will take home at least your artwork over the 2 day course.  Please contact me for materials required.   The feedback from previous participants at my workshops are not only that they are delighted with their art but also found the whole experience therapeutic and uplifting. Antiqued Decoupage Project

2 day course -10am to 4pm - lunch included £160 per person - Please contact Denise for dates.

This workshop is centered around creating your own personalised keepsake box, beyond the usual "cut and stick" associated with decoupage, we will cover techniques which will transform and ordinary 'photocopy' into an aged print, including crackle glazing and ageing. You will go home with your unique "antiqued" work of art, perfect for a keepsake of gift. This course is suitable for beginners or for those who would like to refresh or develop existing skills.   For those who enjoy this technique, there will be the opportunity to attend another workshop in the near future.
