I’ve now been enjoying Denise’s classes for a number of weeks . It is such a wonderful relaxing way to spend the day ,so inspirational with lovely company.   It has reminded me how much I love painting and Denise’s gentle inspiring teaching is very professional but so friendly ,carefully explaining about colour ,shadow and shape . This is a lovely course for anyone wishing to explore their potential artistic talent or build on existing skills. I had not picked up a paintbrush since I took Art A-level 20 years ago. Denise’s talent and enthusiasm for her subject is evident, she creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for her students and has a patient and nurturing approach that helps build confidence, whether your are completely new to painting, or like me incredibly rusty. She reminded me of principles I had long forgotten, but also taught me new ways to look at colour, create depth and pay attention to detail, I’m very proud of the work I have produced under her guidance. I would highly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in Art, not only as a place to build technique and knowledge, but also as a fun, relaxing and pleasant way to spend a day, in picturesque surroundings.

The workshop with Denise was a wonderful surprise birthday gift!  The course states it is informative, liberating and therapeutic and I certainly found this to be the case. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Denise and came away with a real sense of achievement! Starting the day as a novice I took home with me two pieces of art work I can proudly hang on my wall.

I enjoyed a relaxing creative day at Denise's acrylic painting workshop on Saturday. Denise's professional and friendly approach to teaching and on the spot demonstrations of technique were invaluable and I knew from the start that I was going to enjoy myself and learn new ways of working! Her guidance, attention to detail and wealth of experience and technical knowledge helped me to build on existing skills to produce a painting that was vibrant and enchanting. Denise has a way of enabling you to achieve high standards while still retaining your own style and is sympathetic to all aspects of the artwork you are making so that the work stays fresh and nothing is overworked. Denise also ensured that I was comfortable and well fed and watered ! I thoroughly recommend this tutor to beginners and people of all levels and will definitely be booking another workshop.

I’ve been attending an art group on a Thursday with Denise for about a month now. I thoroughly enjoy my time with the group and Denise is on hand to pass on a wealth of knowledge and encouragement. I really enjoyed the one day course at Denise's home studio. I learned several new techniques and gained the confidence to be a little more spontaneous in my painting. Denise was helpful without taking over and friendly so that I didn't feel as if it was all hard work.
